Mike Leaf is an accomplished stained glass artist.
As a young teenager, Mike and his mother used to assemble stained glass designs together in his mother's studio. At that time, the method of holding the pieces of glass together was epoxy! He quickly lost interest.
In late 2007, Mike took a 'foil' glass class and his interest was reignited. Working mostly with lead, Mike has started creating his own unique designs.
"As an artist, what I see takes shape in different forms," says Mike. "Cutting and assembilng various pieces of colored glass is just a step-by-step process that doesn't change. The design (whether stock or custom) is always the starting point. Color usage and finding just the right piece of glass is critical in defining the uniqueness of the final results!"
Mike lives and works in Milford, Ohio.
