Larry Adams was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1953. He is a quiet, reflective person and has spent most of his life perusing his art as an outlet for his emotions. Larry is primarily self taught. Though having studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy, the most instrumental portion of his education has come through trial and error, and his traveling around the country through studios and museums studying the works of those artists he regards as masters of his craft. He does not observe rules of tradition, but rather his own belief that no medium should be limited.
In addition to his work in private collections, his paintings are now being seen on a national level with several pieces being selected by Kentucky Watercolor Society for exhibition in the Kentucky Museum of Art and the Warther West Museum of Art.
There has been a steady evolution in this artist's life and work. His style has changed over the years, but one fact is certain, he remains true to his work and these works are finding universal appeal.
