Justin Burwinkel is an enterprising photographer from rural southwestern Ohio. His work has been heavily influenced by the area in which he was raised. Formally trained in urban areas, Justin has transcended the suburban buffer between Cincinnati and his farmland community on a daily basis since his high school days.
Justin was awarded the Wolfstein Scholarship to the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Art, Architecture & Planning (D.A.A.P.) having already established himself as an excelling artist in the area. He rose to the top in the Cincinnati Art Association’s 2007 Overture Awards when he was honored as a top photographer and a semi-finalist among all visual artists. His work continued to flourish earning him a perfect score from The College Board for his 2-D Design portfolio. His work has been published in the National Art Honor Society’s publication and is currently displayed in several galleries.
