My real passion with painting is in the texture and thickness of the paint and in finding unique and striking color combinations. Most of my art emanates from my personal and unique view of the world; and, at times, it can be whimsical and thought provoking. More recently, I have discovered Plein Air painting and find capturing the light of day exciting and challenging.
Doug’s art is in many personal, and several corporate, collections.
Doug graduated from Miami University with a BFA in 1983. Currently, he is a partner and creative director for a Cincinnati branding agency. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Doug moved to Milford 19 years ago and lives in a circa 1796 home (one of the oldest in the area) built by Rev. Francis McCormick.
